MEPCO Consumers Using 201-500 Units of Electricity Will Get 14 Rs Per Unit Relief

Here is the latest Update for all the Mepco Bill Consumers who are using electricity Units between 201-500, as the government has announced the relief Package for them in their next two months’ Electricity Bills, which means that now they will get relief of 14 Rs per Units for their August and September Bill. The government will pay the difference amount of their Bill.  

14 Rs Per Unit Relief For 201-500 Units Of Electricity Consumers 

CM Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif announced some excellent news for Mepco Bill Customers on Friday during a press conference. He disclosed at his conference the plans for Punjab’s power bills and the steps being taken to lower the cost of electricity for the benefit of the populace.

In the meantime, she declared that citizens need not be alarmed by rising power costs because they will receive a 14 rupee relief per unit in their bills in August and September. This relief will be funded by the government and will total Rs 45 billion. In addition, he talked about a few significant problems brought on by the high cost of electricity.

Who Will Get The Relief By Government On Their Bills?

According to sources, customers who use between 201 and 500 units of power per month would be the only ones eligible for the Rs. 14 per unit discount.

Those who consume 200 units or fewer are not included in the plan because their rates have not risen in the past. According to official sources, the respite is scheduled to begin for the August and September 2024 billing cycles.

CM Punjab Sent Letters To Five Electricity Companies

The Punjab government has written official letters to the electrical companies asking them to assist at the cost of Rs 14 per unit to assist the users of electricity in Punjab and Islamabad. On Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s directive, official letters have been sent to five electricity businesses in Punjab.

The names of the companies that would be added to this relief in Islamabad and Punjab are also shown below.

Electricity Relief For Limited Consumers – Update
